Data & method development
Building the tools needed to answer questions that existing methods cannot.
Robust sustainability assessments depend on the quality of both data and methods. In many cases, existing datasets and frameworks are not sufficient to answer the questions being asked, particularly when working with new materials, emerging design strategies, or system-level analysis.
I work with developing LCA databases, structuring data, and building methodological approaches that enable more precise and relevant assessments. This includes everything from handling large datasets to designing calculation frameworks and ensuring consistency across projects.
Method development is not just a technical task, it is about making assumptions explicit, improving transparency, and enabling others to build upon the work.
By strengthening the underlying data and methods, it becomes possible to move beyond standard assessments and generate insights that are both more accurate and more useful in practice.
