Airport GHG strategy

I developed a comprehensive greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting framework for an airport, covering existing buildings and infrastructure. This included the creation of new typology-specific datasets to ensure accurate representation of the airport’s asset portfolio, covering more than 5.000.000 square meters. I then modelled projected emissions over a 25-year development horizon, evaluating multiple construction and operational scenarios. Through a series of workshops with technical and operational staff, I integrated their expertise with quantified GHG impacts. This approach enabled scenario-based discussions grounded in measurable consequences, strengthening the organization’s understanding of how material choices and long-term planning decisions influence their overall emissions profile.
