Professional Experience
2026 - Present | Consulting engineer
Transition │
Sustainability consultant
From 2026 onward, I will be part of Transition, working with sustainability in the built environment. My role will center on environmental modelling, life cycle assessment, and supporting strategic decisions in construction projects.
This new chapter builds upon my previous experience in LCA and sustainable systems, further expanding my engagement with practice-oriented sustainability work.
2023 - Present | Research and teaching
Aarhus School of Architecture │
External associate professor
As an external associate professor at the Aarhus School of Architecture, I engage in research at the intersection of environmental modelling, life cycle assessment, and the built environment.
My work centers on strengthening methodological clarity and improving how environmental data is structured, interpreted, and applied in architectural practice. A core focus is bridging quantitative assessment methods with design processes, ensuring that environmental performance becomes an integrated parameter rather than an afterthought.
Alongside research activities, I teach and supervise students in sustainability and life cycle thinking, with an emphasis on developing critical, data-literate professionals capable of navigating complex environmental challenges.
2019 - 2026 | Consulting engineer
Ekolab │
Engineer & LCA consultant
From 2019 to 2026, I was part of Ekolab, initially as an intern and later as a full-time consulting engineer.
My work centered on life cycle assessment within the built environment, with a particular emphasis on consequential LCA and systemic environmental modelling. I worked across buildings, infrastructure, and construction products, contributing to both project-level advisory and methodological development.
During this period, I participated in the development of LCA databases and analytical frameworks, and advised clients on carbon reduction strategies, biodiversity impacts, and certification schemes. A key part of my role involved communicating complex environmental data in a clear and decision-relevant manner.
My years at Ekolab provided a foundation in rigorous environmental modelling while reinforcing my interest in long-term, systemic approaches to sustainability in the construction sector.
